Terms & Conditions
1. Overview
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of Chore Pot. By creating an account or accessing the service, you agree to comply with these terms.
2. Account Eligibility & Household Management
Account Creation: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to establish a Household.
Member Access: Minors may only join a Household via an invitation from an authorized adult member.
Household Administration: The Household creator retains administrative authority to invite, manage, or remove members at any time.
3. Chore Pot Premium Subscriptions
Subscription Model: Chore Pot Premium provides access to unlimited chores, custom rewards, and additional pots. Premium is billed on a recurring monthly or annual subscription basis and automatically renews until canceled.
Free Trial: New Households automatically receive a 7-day complimentary trial of Premium features. No payment details are required for the trial. Upon expiration, the Household defaults to the free tier unless an active subscription is purchased.
Web Cancellations: Subscriptions purchased directly via our website may be canceled at any time within the Household tab. Cancellation halts subsequent billing cycles; access to Premium features continues through the end of the paid billing period.
App Store & Google Play Purchases: Subscriptions processed through third-party app stores are managed directly through your store account settings. Store-specific policies govern cancellations and refunds. Chore Pot does not issue refunds outside of the terms provided by the respective platform.
Downgrades & Data Retention: Upon subscription expiration, active chores beyond the first eight and supplemental pots/rewards are hidden from view. No data is permanently deleted, and full functionality is restored upon resubscribing.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
Chore Pot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we strive to maintain high service availability and accuracy, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chore Pot disclaims all liability for any damages or losses arising from your use of the service.
5. Acceptable Use & Content Responsibility
User Conduct: You are solely responsible for all activity and content generated within your Household. Chore Pot must not be used for any unlawful or unauthorized purposes.
Account Termination: The Household administrator may permanently delete the Household and associated data at any time via the Household tab.
6. Amendments to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Any updates will be posted directly to this page, and continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
